Make any day Sundae!

Looking for a fun way to celebrate family in this quarantine? Why not try a family date night once a week to stir things up and make being at home fun?

If you're family is anything like ours, we're reading to be done with this whole "quarantine for 100 weeks" thing. To spice things up for your family's new quarantine life, try hosting an extravagant Sundae bar that no ones invited to (except your family of course)! If you wanna be real fancy about it, use these INVITATION PRINTABLES to invite your family!

Gather everyone and create a dream ice cream sundae list of all the things they want starting with the basics to those extra specials items that you almost never buy (cookie cups, anyone?) Then, let the kids' imagination run wild! Feel free to use THIS ice cream themed shopping list to keep your family super excited!

Try setting a dollar limit similar to what it might cost your family to go out for a fancy frozen yogurt. Then, go buy as many of those dream items as you can! (You don't have to make a special trip, pick up the items during your next grocery run, whenever that might be, to enjoy that night).

If you do want to make a day of it, create a list together and have someone run to the store. While they're gone, the other family members can get to working on baking some cookie cups, because let's be honest, they're better home-made. The instructions for those little beauties are below 😉 And if you play your cards right, everything can be done by the time everyone's back from the store! Your family can take turns going down the sundae line, then head to the living room to enjoy your treats in front a movie!

Now, let's make those cookie-cups happen!

1. Use your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe (or mix- whatever's your jam) and make the dough. (If you don't have a good recipe, CLICK HERE)

2. Flip a muffin tin upside down and mold the cookie dough around it.

Like this:

3. Bake it according to your directions- BUT my advice is to check it a few minutes early because mine are normally done early when I bake them this way. (For example, if your recipe says 10 minutes, check it at about 8)

4. Take 'em out. Let 'em cool. Prepare your mind for cookie-cup sundae awesomeness.

Have fun!
