Alright now, it's gettin' hot out there! So, I think we'll take a week off from the outdoor family nights and stay in the air conditioning for this one.
Need a fast, fun, and familiar family fun night? Try hosting a Kahoot family trivia night! It's fast with it's pre-made family fun night quizzes that are done for you (though you CAN edit them) and it's familiar to kids because Kahoot is used all the time in schools! Perfect for our older elementary, middle and high school students, it's no stress because the kids can help you get set up!
Kahoot.com (or the Kahoot app if you want to use it) is a great resource that your kiddos probably know about already! (Ask if they do Kahoot at school and watch them flip a lid with excitement. Ha!) Great news! Kahoot now how a "Family Fun" button at the top of their page and when you click on it, there are thousands of trivia kahoots to choose from! If you want to play in your living room, you can put the questions up on the tv or larger screen and everyone can answer each question by logging onto Kahoot.it and putting in answers from their own devices! Phones, Ipads, laptops and any other device that accesses the internet will work!
Because this is our first choice for family game night, here is a quick How-to video for those who have never used the site/game. The video covers how to log-in / create a sign-in, where to find the family trivia and if you can't find one of you like, how to edit a game or make your own!
Best Idea Every- Only possible with Kahoot:
Have each family member write down fun facts of answer questions about themselves. Create your very own Kahoot quiz using these facts and questions! EX: Which person loves Funyons more than any other snack? A. Mom B. Dad C. Sister D. Brother
Even if the questions are easy- they are scored on both accuracy and speed which adds an extra element of fun!

If you have younger kids at home or a larger age range, try Family Trivia Free. This app lets you select multiple players just like any other, BUT also allows you to set each persons age so they get age appropriate questions!
Another cool app is called Quiz for Disney and has all Disney themed questions! This is great for elementary age, Preschool age children can definitely enjoy this as well with just a little bit of help!
