"Crazy Bowling" Night

Sometimes just going somewhere with your family can be crazy enough. If that's your family, just bare with me! What I'm going to suggest might be even crazier. As things start to slowly open up, consider taking your family to the bowling alley for a game of "Crazy Bowling".

If your family is like mine, we do "crazy" pretty well. So, consider taking the family out on the town for a "Crazy Bowling" night where you can dress up (or in costumes), take chances, and be super silly together in a place that's not overcrowded.

The key to this week's family night is silliness. No silly = No fun. So, be warned.

So, Game #1 Here's how to play:

Before you go, print and cut out THESE CARDS and put them in a ziplock so you have them ready to draw.

Before the beginning of each new frame, draw a card to determine how each person will be rolling their bowling ball down the lane. (You may have to bowl with your eyes closed or you might be asked to bowl while sitting down, with oven mitts on your hands, etc) Just to be fair, I would definitely suggest choosing the card at the beginning of the frame and having everyone in your group do the same challenge. It put everyone on the same playing field and it was really fun to see different people’s interpretations and personal flair added to each challenge.

Another game you might be interested in trying if you have older kids, is Scattergories Bowling. Instead of coming up with things by letter, you're going to be coming up with things by category.

Game #2, Here's how to play:

Begin by printing and cutting out THESE CARDS. Put them in a ziplock bag to take with you.

Then, begin with a non-bowler drawing a card out of the bag. They will read the card out loud just before the bowler releases the ball.

From the moment the ball leaves their hand to the moment it hits the pins, they must list as many things as they can that fit the category. The number of things listed should be kept and the player/team who had the longest list wins.

If you want to get really wild, bring some quarters with you, and let the kids go wild on the arcade games!

We hope you have a BALL with this crazy fun bowling game and would love to see your pics on the Stony Point Facebook page. :)
